Community Box Holders:

Help raise valuable funds and awareness for The Children’s Society by promoting and managing our new Community Box initiative in your local area. This worthwhile and rewarding role simply involves encouraging local shops and small businesses to display one of The Children's Society’s community collection boxes on their counter, and returning once every few months to collect and bank the proceeds.

Hours and timeframe:
Flexible – to suit volunteer


Objectives:
Help support the work of The Children's Society by encouraging shops, small businesses and community groups to raise vital funds through our eye catching Community Collection Boxes.


Tasks:
To place a communtiy collection box in your home or in the local community.


Skills required:
We are looking for volunteers who could confidently promote our community box scheme in their local area. No special experience is required, but a cheerful and optimistic outlook and good communication skills will be of benefit to the role.

Training and support:
Your local Community Fundraising Manager will be on hand to provide training and support as required. Our new Community Box training guides are packed full of hints, tips and materials to help you make the most of this exciting new role.


Other Information:
Volunteers will be managed in line with our Volunteer Policy.
Reasonable travel expenses will be paid.
