We are currently seeking a Human Resources Administrator to provide interim HR administrative support to the Campaign for Childhood and Fundraising Divisions, during a period of intensive recruitment and change. Reporting to the Corporate People Manager, you will be responsible for managing the recruitment process for a number of positions in Fundraising, Marketing, Media, Policy and Church Partnership teams. Your duties will include; reviewing/drafting job descriptions, liaising with HR colleagues with regard to advertisements and managing the application & interview processes.

You will be educated to degree level or equivalent, and you will have a knowledge & experience of HR processes. In addition you will be required to demonstrate strong process management and administration skills, a commitment to provide excellent customer service and the ability to work efficiently and communicate effectively.

Job Description

Reporting to:

Corporate People Manager 
 
Job purpose: 

To provide interim HR administrative support to the CFC and FR Divisions, during a period of intensive recruitment and change.

Key activities:

To manage the recruitment process for a number of positions in Fundraising, Marketing, Media, Policy and Church Partnership teams, including:

  • Reviewing job descriptions with the recruiting manager, and drafting changes as required.
  • Liaison with colleagues in HR to ensure that job descriptions are compliant with our competency-led approach and accurately captures the requirements of the post.
  • Researching market rates for specific posts in competitive organisations.
  • Completing recruitment requisitions and forwarding to the appropriate HR colleagues.
  • Developing briefs for internal and external recruitment ads and briefing colleagues in HR.
  • Long-listing all applications and within the long-list, providing recommended short-lists of candidates for recruiting managers.
  • Drafting interview questions, for agreement with the recruiting manager.
  • Developing case studies and presentation requests for Assessment Centres (for posts L4 and above).
  • Working with the recruiting manager to identify interview panel members, and liaise with POD to ensure that interviews and assessment centres are scheduled on time.
  • Liaise with our Corporate Participation Manager to ensure that children and young people have opportunities to participate in our recruitment processes when possible.
  • Working closely with colleagues in the POD team to ensure our HR policies are understood and adhered to.
  • Writing offer letters and sending out to candidates.
  • Liaison directly with candidates re interview dates; references; induction and on boarding.
  • Following up with reference requests.
  • Drafting internal announcements where appropriate.
  • To work with children and young people so as to enable them to have a voice and influence in our work.

Attainments:

In order to be considered for this post you will need to demonstrate that you have the following:

Education

  • Educated to Diploma or degree level or equivalent.

  • HR administration and processes.
