The Play Your Part website is designed to be compliant with the standards for transitional XHTML 1.0. It is also designed to degrade gracefully when viewed with browsers that support older versions of HTML. This means that whilst the pages may not look identical, there should be no issues accessing information or progressing through the application process with browsers that fully support HTML 4.0 or later.
The Play Your Part website has been designed to conform to the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines Priorities 1 and 2. Amongst other things, this means that the site will be navigable without any imagery being displayed, and hence should work well with screen-reader technology. For more information about the requirements needed to meet WCAG Priorities 1 and 2, please visit http://www.w3.org/TR/WCAG10/full-checklist.html.

The Play Your Part website does not require any additional software or plug-ins, such as Flash, to view any content that appears within web pages or to complete the application process. However, some supplementary information may be provided in the form of links to downloadable electronic documents. Where this occurs, the document format will be either Microsoft Word or Adobe PDF. For the former, any compatible word processing software should allow these documents to be opened and read. Microsoft also provide a free Word viewer, available to download from their website. For the latter, PDF reader software is required. If you have not already got this installed on your computer, Adobe provide the free Acrobat Reader software, which can be downloaded from their website.
